Sidoarjo is the place I grew up in. I grew up in a more modern area, but Sidoarjo does have quite a lot of areas that are more rural than urban. I don't personally know any kind of history of Sidoarjo. It's just the place I grew up in. I'd say it's not that bad of a place to grow up in. I feel that it has a pretty balanced feel of urban-ness and rural-ness.
